Muscle Revival

We all look to find that unique gem, that rare canvas we can turn into a masterpiece. Finding it though may be difficult, a needle in a haystack if you will. But we are fond believers of “if you seek long enough, you shall find.” Carlos did just that when he went on his search to find his 2 door 73 Dart beauty. Born in Orlando and being around cars all his life, Carlos knew what he was passionate about. Cars were always in his life and from the start he knew he was destined to be an enthusiast. His earliest memories were of his brother’s 66 and 67 Impala and Vega that he retrofitted with a big block. But his biggest key to knowing his passion was all cars was when Carlos and his dad restored his first true car, a 67 VW Bug.

Carlos' decision to buy his 73 Dart all started with his prior car, a 72

Plymouth Valiant (4door) which he bought for $400. He owned the Plymouth for about 10 years working diligently to restore the front end. 2 weeks after completion he was hit while driving and the Plymouth was totaled. Quite a shocker when you have worked so hard to accomplish something so time consuming. But it would not end there for Carlos. A good friend of his, Brad Samuels of Samuels Auto talked him into buying a two door Dart on the simple premise that Carlos could swap over the completed front end and drivetrain building a car for so much less than he had before. So the search started for a 2 door Dart which he found on Craigslist.

Carlos confident in his find and knowing this was the start of something great, started restoring the 73 Dart. Carlos completely dismantled the Dart into pieces. His objective? hard work and dedication surely paid off.
