• The PPIE team have now delivered over 15 hybrid meetings .
• Only one or two public contributors per meeting chose to attend in person , with the majority attending online .
• Those who attended in person expressed their joy at returning and reported that socialising with their peers had been beneficial .
• Following the success of the pilot , the PPIE team plan to use hybrid meetings more widely with public contributors .
“ I attended a hybrid RUG [ Research User Group ] meeting ‘ in person ’. The PPIE team were there ‘ in person ’ and one other RUG member too . The majority attended virtually … It was very successful , and the blend of ‘ in-person ’ and virtual members seemed to flow easily and naturally . I really enjoyed being back at Keele , and was so pleased to be mixing so normally with Keele people again .
