The Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement ( PPIE ) team in the Faculty ’ s Impact Accelerator Unit planned for piloting hybrid meetings with public contributors from May 2022 . Public contributors could return to attending in person at the David Weatherall Building on campus or attend online via Microsoft Teams� .
• PPIE team members prepared research teams on how to manage hybrid meetings
• This included understanding the chair ’ s role and allowing dedicated time to ensure inclusion of all voices , in the meeting room and online
• A PPIE team member attended hybrid meetings to support public contributors and the chair
• Establishing meeting etiquette was a key feature that was given dedicated time at the start of each meeting
• The PPIE team held pre and post meeting debriefs with public contributors and feedback was gained so changes could be made .
