When asked what prompted her career shift , Zoe explained , “ I just fancied a change and knew that this was something I would enjoy .” She had reached the top of her career in real estate and was eager to take on a new challenge .
Now , in the fleet industry , Zoe is excited about the endless opportunities for growth . “ There ’ s still a lot to learn , but I can see the opportunities in fleet management . It ’ s not just about administration ; it opens doors to areas like procurement , sustainability , and safety ,” Zoe shared .
“ For me , I ’ m just trying to build on the knowledge I ’ ve gained so far . Every day , I feel like I learn something new .”
An ‘ Exciting Time ’ to Be in the Fleet Industry
Zoe is enthusiastic about the direction of the fleet industry , calling it “ an exciting time ” to be involved .
“ There ’ s so much going on with electric vehicles , hydrogen vehicles , and how these technologies fit into businesses ,” she explained . “ There are a lot of initiatives and change happening in the fleet space , and I think it ’ s a great time to be part of the industry .”
Zoe finds that one of the best aspects of her job is its unpredictability . “ No two days are the same . I get to work with both the corporate side and the network , and it ’ s great because everyone works differently . Building connections with stakeholders is a really nice part of the role ,” she said .
Despite the challenges that come with managing such a large fleet , she enjoys problem-solving . “ There ’ s a lot of challenges in managing a business with such a large fleet , like always maintaining the correct records , but I enjoy that part of it ,”.
Zoe finds satisfaction in ensuring that everything runs smoothly , even when faced with obstacles . She also recognises the crucial role that fleet management plays in her company . “ Fleet is sometimes underrated , but without it , the business could not operate . Without the trucks and forklifts , it would be impossible for Elders to do their business ,” she said .
“ Fleet is an important aspect of the company , and it ’ s rewarding to be a part of that and help facilitate a smooth operation .”
