How switching our fleet to EVs changed our business for the better
Kingspan is a global leader in sustainability , taking charge with the ambition to replace all current vehicles with zero-emission cars by 2025 . Providing high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions , Kingspan has a promise to combat climate change through their work and Planet Passionate Program . For them , the decision to introduce electric vehicles ( EVs ) into their fleet was easy .

Put simply , electrifying our fleet was the right thing to do and now was the right time to do it . When considering EVs , the primary motivation for us was to show corporate responsibility and play our part in reaching a netzero emissions future .
We did , however , need to ensure that the vehicles were fit-for-purpose and met our operational requirements . This was made possible with the support of Origin 360 EV for fleets . From procuring the fleet , installing charging infrastructure , and providing customised management solutions , working alongside Origin made for a smooth transition .
Once we ’ d engaged Origin , everything fell into place and we quickly realised the benefits of EVs went beyond our primary motivator of sustainability .
Our business is better prepared
We recognised that EVs are fast becoming the norm and will soon be an expectation from employees and customers . Adopting EVs was critical to future proof our core business against market , legislation , and technological changes to come . Simply put , as the world pursues netzero targets , the risk of waiting would have left us behind and we wanted to be prepared .
