KPMG and IBM – Deploying Cognitive Technology to
Enhance Professional Services
KPMG has partnered with IBM to use its Watson cognitive
computing platform to enhance its Professional Services
offerings, particularly in audit and assurance services. Cognitive
technology can analyse a larger percentage of available data,
giving KPMG professionals deeper insights into a client’s
financial and business operations. It also allow auditors to focus
on higher value activities, such as offering additional insights
relating to risk.
Impact
The partnership is expected to help KPMG develop new offerings
and meet its extensive audit-specific security, confidentiality and
compliance requirements.
WongPartnership’s use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to
deliver legal services
In September 2017, WongPartnership became the first Singapore
law practice to adopt AI tool, Luminance, to enhance its due
diligence processes for M&A transactions. It is using Luminance
to harness the predictive power of AI to discern patterns and
detect anomalies across large volumes of contracts and
unstructured data.
Impact
The AI platform provides a more efficient way for lawyers to
manage due diligence transactions on behalf of clients.
