Hairdressing is a very inspiring career with a lot of job satisfaction . You will learn a variety of creative cutting and colouring techniques including colour correction and long hair skills . This course will prepare you for a wide range of career opportunities .
You will be required to work in paired activity and to source models for assessment purposes .
Entry Requirements
You must be currently employed or self-employed within the industry
SVQ : Hairdressing SCQF Level 5 and relevant industry experience
National 5 : English for Speakers of Other Languages ( ESOL ) ( where applicable )
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

Advanced Certificate : Fashion & Media Make-up

During this course you will learn the importance of researching , planning and preparing makeup and hair looks for the fashion and media industries . You will design and produce your final looks and produce folios of your work . Your learning will be a blend of in college and on line learning . You will be required to source models for your final looks and will participate in a work placement . You will also create a creative current look for a competition .

This course is ideal for you if you have an interest in media make-up artistry and wish to work in the TV , film , theatre and fashion industries . You will produce a range of media hair and make-ups for photo shoots and produce a portfolio of your final looks .
