HND : Make-up Artistry

This course is ideal for you if you have an interest in media make-up artistry and wish to work in the TV , film , theatre and fashion industries . You will produce a range of media hair and make-ups for photo shoots and produce a portfolio of your final looks . You will focus on producing character make-ups including life casting and prosthetics . You will also research and produce period hair and make-up incorporating wigs and participate in photo shoots . In this year you will produce digitally recorded evidence of your chosen final look for the graded unit .
Entry Requirements
All applicants must have the full successful completion of HNC : Make-up Artistry
Applicants with appropriate and relevant industry experience may be considered .

NC Make-up artistry and HND Make-up Artistry
When I studied make-up artistry at Fife College , I studied everything from natural make-up to cutting hair , wigs and to special effects .
When I was at college I started my own business doing make-up from a salon called Cruise Hair and Beauty in Dunfermline . I do makeup , wedding makeup and makeup lessons . Recently , I started my own brand where I ’ m currently just selling eyelashes and eyelash application tools , I also have a little mirror as well so that ’ s still quite new but I ’ m working on getting more products and building up that business .
“ My favourite part of the course was when we had to pick a makeup brand and do three looks and photographies based on that brand and it was really fun .”
