Best Moments Are Meant to Be Shared
Life in the vineyard appears to be the most romantic lifestyle until you speak to someone who owns one. You quickly learn all the intricate details and tireless work involved in caring for a vineyard, so they produce grapes worthy of being transformed into wine. And then comes the harvest.
A time of celebration, the harvest marks the moment when the grapes are gathered for the winemaking process. In wine country, it is a season filled with gratitude as people gather to celebrate that year’s vintage. It is the highlight of the year, and a moment shared among vineyard workers, owners, winemakers and the wider community.
Similar to the harvest, we have moments in our life that call for celebration. It’s the main reason we gather to throw parties. To celebrate graduations, a wedding, the arrival of a new baby or some other remarkable life accomplishments. While an individual should take some time to self-reflect on these milestone moments, we all know that such special moments are meant to be a shared and celebrated with others.
Perhaps that is why the harvest can resonate so deeply within all of us. The finest moments in life are never meant to be enjoyed in isolation. They are invitations to pause, express gratitude, and celebrate
alongside our people. Like the harvest, our greatest joys are sweeter when shared.
