If you are still holding on to past hurts, ask yourself, “Are you without sin?” and “Have you ever hurt someone and wish they would forgive you or give you a second chance or even a third chance to prove how much you love them?” Learning how to put yourself in another’s shoes and imagine how they might have felt is oftentimes helpful and creates a perspective of compassion. Being willing to feel compassion for yourself and others opens your heart to healing and reconnection.
