FANTASTIC FAMILY FUN The first ‘Family Festival’ at The Courtyard on February 28 proved to be a half term success with close on 1,000 taking part in a day long series of activities. The Festival was a fantastic showcase for the theatre and arts centre and will undoubtedly become an annual half term event. The Mayor Cllr Charles Nichols led a procession – a bit like the Pied Piper – of youngsters through the streets to The Courtyard. Schoolchildren, with the help of Carnival Arts a local group behind the popular River Carnival, had designed and made a giant green dragon. There were medieval musicians leading dancing, puppet workshops, model making workshops, story telling and films. The children didn’t have time to get bored. Another plus for Hereford.
