PET FOOD SUPPLIES
& ACCESSORIES
Going to a fancy dress party and got
nothing to wear? Give The Courtyard
Costume Store a call and you will have the
pick of 7,000 outfits to choose from.
Top marks to pupils at Bishops High School in the city for their imaginative
display of poppies in several shop windows in Widemarsh Street to mark
Remembrance Day on November 11. Each poppy represented a
Herefordshire soldier killed in the two world wars.
The most stunning display was in the empty former Jones shoe shop where
six large windows full of poppies were a poignant reminder of those who
gave their lives.
The store was originally set up for county
amateur theatre groups and schools staging plays
but was taken over by The Courtyard theatre and
arts centre when Herefordshire Council
announced several years ago it was closing the
facility down.
It’s an Aladdin’s Cave collection for theatre,
film, TV or style photographers searching for pe-
riod costumes and accessories covering everything
from Shakespeare to pantomime, 1920’s fashion
to war films. Donations of unwanted costumes
welcomed.
