Sounds of the Season: Downtown Lock Haven Packed for Robb Elementary School Holiday Concert
Frigid temperatures didn’ t deter hundreds from coming to downtown Lock Haven for Robb Elementary School’ s annual holiday concert.
The event, held in December in the East Main Street parking lot, saw many coming to watch their little ones perform Christmas classics under the direction of music teacher, Teresa Poole.
Administrators from the elementary school extended their thanks to a wide range of individuals who help to make the event a success each and every year- particularly Poole.
“ This past Friday, she put on an absolutely wonderful holiday concert, and we truly cannot thank her enough for the time, effort, and heart she pours into this event year after year,” a statement from the school’ s social media said.
The statement noted hosting the concert in the heart of downtown“ has made it even more special and has quickly become a fun and meaningful tradition for our community.”
The statement went on to read, " We are so grateful to Mrs. Poole and everyone who helped make this event such a success for our students, families, and community.”
Administrators thanked the following individuals and organizations:
Lock Haven City Council... Mayor Joel Long... City Manager Gregory Wilson... Director of Community Life Kasey Dumm... City Planner Abbey Roberts... Citizens Hose Fire Company... Eric Brungard... Brock Brungard... Brad Moore... Beech Creek-Blanchard Fire Company... City Police Chief Matthew Rickard and his Officers... Public Works Supervisor Jared Gist and his Staff... Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. and its Manager, Rick Schulze... Kim and Chris Feerrar... Don and Peggy Adams... Kelly Deems and the Robb Elementary School PTO... St. Paul’ s Episcopal Church... Superintendent Dr. Francis Redmon... The Staff and Faculty at Robb Elementary School.
Administrators also shouted out to the community who turned out by the dozens.“ A huge thank you to everyone who braved the cold to come out and support our students and, once again, thank you, Mrs. Poole, for your dedication, hard work, and passion,” the statement said.
Following the concert, and all weekend long, students at the elementary school had the chance to shop downtown and have punchcards filled out as part of a contest.
