Aiming to rescue , rehabilitate , and control the cat population of Lycoming County , PA and surrounding areas , Heidi ’ s Furry Friends Rescue Inc . is a foster-based 501c3 Non-Profit Rescue . Along with cats and kittens , we also provide care and transport to other critters and wildlife in need .
Heidi ’ s Furry Friends Rescue Inc ., founded by Heidi McCarty of Williamsport , has been saving lives and making an impact on animals of all kinds since it was founded in 2019 . Heidi and family , along with a small group of fosters , work tirelessly dedicating time , funds , and their hearts to any animal in need .
Although we rescue any animal in need , we primarily specialize in cats . We rescue , rehabilitate , socialize , and rehome as many cats as possible . As funds allow , we also organize TVNR projects to trap , spay / neuter , vaccinate , and release community cats . When possible , we also provide financial assistance to members of the community struggling to provide medical care to their pets .
In 2023 , Heidi ’ s Furry Friends Rescue Inc . had 171 intakes and 167 successful adoptions to loving forever homes . We also completed many TNR projects , fixing 113 community cats who will no longer contribute to the homeless cat population !
Through generous donations from our community , we are able to continue to save lives . Rescue , fostering , and transport are all vital parts to making an impact for animals in our communities . Heidi ’ s Furry Friends Rescue Inc . is always seeking new fosters or transporters willing to lend a hand . Never fostered before ? No problem ! We will teach you everything you need to know ! Fostering helps free up rescue space and allows more animals to be saved . Bottle babies , kittens , and adult cats are all in need of foster homes . Let us find the right match for you . Food , supplies , and medical costs are all covered by the rescue . Fostering saves lives , and you can help us make a huge difference !
