MVA with Overturn

On Monday August 29th, the Kings Park Fire Department was activated for signal 16/23 [motor vehicle accident with overturn and entrapment] at the intersection of Route 25A and Lawrence Road. Upon arrival of
Heavy Rescue 4-1-9, crews went to work to extricate
the driver of the vehicle on its side while EMS personnel rendered medical treatment to the drivers of both
vehicles. That victim was ultimately removed via the
rear hatch of the SUV. Under the direction of Captain
Matt Ackerfeld [4-1-53], members secured the vehicles while EMS personnel transported two victims to
the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

On Tuesday night, August 30th, just after 8:00pm, the Farmingville Fire
Department was activated for reported smoke in the home at 501 Blue
Point Road. The first chief on scene reported fire in a kitchen stove
which had been extinguished. Firefighters disconnected the stove and
removed it to the front lawn, making sure there was no extension.
