Corn Maze for Family Care
On October 26th , 2024 , our Family Care group got to take a field trip to the new Corn Maze at Holly Ridge Farm ! A huge thank you to all of the volunteers that assisted with the event . A game , The Farm Scene Investigation , was provided to play within the maze . The kids ran through the corn maze trying to solve the farm investigation ! Other Games such as Connect 4 , and Corn Hole were provided . Cotton candy and drinks were available for purchase , and Food Lion lunch was served in the Community Room on our return to FCFC .
Foster Care Support Trip
Wednesday , October 9 , 2024 , brought another successful trip for our Family Care Program members to the Foster Care Support Foundation in Roswell , GA . The Foster Care Support Foundation ( FCSF ) serves a vital growing need throughout all Georgia counties by providing free clothing , infant equipment , and developmental toys and books to thousands of children in foster and relative care . The Fannin County Family Connection Family Care program exists for when relatives step up to raise children when their parents , for a myriad of reasons , cannot care for them . As with the July 17 , 2024 , trip to Roswell , everyone was excited to go on a personal shopping spree for fall and winter clothing , including winter jackets . Also included were age-appropriate toys and books , as well as fresh food and Halloween costumes !
