Be a Good Neighbor – Pet Edition
We love our FCCSA fur friends and understand that they are an integral part of the family! Here are a few tips on how to be a responsible pet owner within FCCSA:
• Keep your pets on a leash
• Clean up after your pet
• Ensure that pets are up to date on vaccinations
• Try your best to control barking
• Know your neighbors
Our community can be welcoming and inclusive of pets while still maintaining appropriate expectations.
Letter from the President Continued from page 3... we do not have to send as many violation letters. More violation letters mean more inspectors are needed, which ends up costing the association more money. At this point in the year, no houses should have piles of leaves in front of their curb. They should all be cleaned up.
As we strive to upgrade First Colony, owners have a number of responsibilities:
• Groom your yard weekly at this time of the year
• Keep your landscaping in good order
• Trim your trees to allow sunlight on the grass and landscaping( please do not top off your trees)
• Make sure your house shingles, shutters, windows and paint are in good condition
• Fences in reasonable shape( please note new fences are to use cedar planks and have a cap, rail and toe board)
Thank you for your attention to these matters as we increase the value of our property together.
We will be embarking on a communication effort over the next few months. We plan to update our website, make our email blasts a bit more attractive and informative, review other ways to reach owners with information. If you are not receiving emails from the association from time to time, please call the main office to ensure we have your email address.
As you can see the first three months of 2025 has been busy and fruitful. We look forward to making progress on many of the topics above over the next quarter.
Regards, Doug Reed FCCSA Board President
