Letter from the FCCSA Board of Directors President
FCCSA Owners:
We are pleased with the progress we are making on several fronts so far this year. The renovation project for the FCCSA building is making progress, we have implemented several capital improvements, and our landscaping efforts are brightening our community.
In this edition, I’ d like to take a moment to highlight the upcoming FCCSA Board Member election. This year, three Board seats are up for election.

If you’ re considering running, it’ s important to understand a few key expectations that come with serving as a Board Member. Board Members play a vital role in guiding the direction of the association and are expected to be actively engaged. This includes, but is not limited to, attending regular Board meetings, serving as a liaison to at least one FCCSA committee, and participating in occasional committee meetings.
Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to contribute to our community, and we encourage anyone interested to learn more about the role before submitting their candidacy. There is a large time commitment to these positions.
EMAIL
A Board Member needs to have access to email and be able to use it frequently. Seldom does a week go by that we are not emailing many times and holding some discussion via email about a various number of topics. If a Board Member cannot be active in email, it will be hard for them to be fully representing owners. This can take an hour or more per week depending upon the number of topics at hand.
APPEALS MEETINGS
Once per month the Board hears appeals from owners. Appeal Meetings are held in the office, but the appeals are handled via Zoom. These meetings are scheduled for 2 hours but could be longer depending upon the agenda. Most of the time these meetings are held on the second Tuesday evening of the month from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

BOARD MEETINGS
FCCSA holds a Board Meeting on the 4th Thursday of each month. Currently, these meetings take place at the REMAX realty office on Setter’ s Way and Hwy 6. Each meeting begins with an Executive Session from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the public Board Meeting from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. While some meetings are brief, others may involve longer discussions depending on the agenda. Board Members are expected to attend all scheduled Board Meetings, as consistent participation is essential to effective governance and decision making.
WORKSHOPS
Several times throughout the year, the Board may need to address larger topics that require more in-depth discussion than a regular Board meeting allows. For these occasions, we hold Workshops – focused sessions dedicated to a single topic such as landscaping design and strategy, the budget process, or review of capital improvement plans. Workshops are typically held at the FCCSA office and may last up to three hours, depending on the complexity of the subject matter. These sessions are an important part of Board service, allowing for thoughtful planning and strategic discussion outside of the standard meeting format.
