EDITORIAL POLICY The purpose of“ First Colony Compass” is to inform residents of business affairs of the community, issues affecting residential and community property, useful information of general interest and reference information for community resources. No social, club, service organization news( unless directly connected to a FCCSA event), political advertising will be accepted. All information and articles submitted to the Association become the property of First Colony Community Services Association, which publishes articles at its’ sole discretion. All submissions to the First Colony Compass must be in WORD format.

BOARD MEETINGS Agendas for regular board meetings are sent out 6 days prior to the date of the meeting. Members wishing to address the board are not required to sign up ahead of time but are encouraged to do so. You can send your written request( email is acceptable) to the Association at least seventy-two( 72) hours prior to the start of the meeting. Please include your name, address, phone number, and topic of discussion on your request. You can email your request to mollyd @ firstcolony. org. Residents will be given 3 minutes to address the Board.
PLANTATION SETTLEMENT E: mollyd @ firstcolony. org Meeting: TBD The meeting takes place over Zoom. During all regularly scheduled Board meetings the period of time at the start of the meeting is set aside to hear from the membership. Any member wishing to speak must sign in before the meeting and will be allotted a maximum of three minutes to speak. Members must be present and signed in no later than the start of the meeting.

STREET LIGHTS OUT? There are 3 types of streetlights in First Colony which include FCCSA ornamentals, Cobra, and Centerpoint ornamentals. FCCSA maintains the black ornamental light fixtures that are labeled using an alphanumeric code( i. e., A-13). If this type of light is out or damaged, please report it to operations @ firstcolony. org and make sure to notate the alphanumeric code associated with the light pole. Centerpoint maintains the other black ornamental fixtures and the“ Cobra” headed fixtures. These fixtures have a six-digit ID number and you would report these outages to http:// centerpointenergy. com / outage / or call 713-659-2111.
IRRIGATION ISSUE? Please report any irrigation issues to landscape @ firstcolony. org.
AQUATIC CENTER LAP POOL Residents are required to submit a $ 100 deposit( check only) for the pool access card. The deposit is refunded when the card is returned. Deposits are forfeited if the card is lost.
RECREATIONAL CLASSES & PROGRAMS Visit firstcolony. org to register for upcoming classes and programs.
HERITAGE COLONY CLUBHOUSE RENTAL Call our office at 281-634-9500 to check for clubhouse availability. There is a security deposit of $ 225( deposit is refunded if there is no damage), and the rental fee is $ 30 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. There is a processing fee of $ 25 for all rentals that are altered / changed or canceled within 48 hours of the rental date.
TENNIS & PICKLEBALL COURTS Residents must have a key to access the courts. Keys are issued at our office for a $ 25 refundable deposit( check only). The tennis and pickleball courts can be reserved by utilizing our DaySmart Appointments reservation system by visiting https:// booknow. appointment-plus. com / b6L56ers /.
