Letter from the Board of Directors President continued from page 3... Most other larger communities around Sugar Land have some type of rentable community space. The Board is currently reviewing floor plans to utilize a majority of the main building as space that can be rented by owners for parties, clubs, gatherings and such for a nominal fee. If that is the case, the Aquatic space will be used primarily for office space for some of the staff. The rest of the staff would office out of the main building. Clubs and groups that currently utilize the Aquatic Center for meetings would be moved over to the large open area on the main building.
We are in the early stages of looking at these options.
PICKLEBALL / POOL
It is a known fact that Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. Statistics show that participation surged 223 % over the last three years according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association( SFIA). A community our size needs more than two pickleball courts to meet the growing demand. Research was conducted and a possible plan submitted to remove the less-used Heritage Colony Pool and install two tennis courts in that area. The small club house would remain providing restrooms for the tennis players. At the same time, Lexington Colony tennis courts 3 and 4 will be converted to 6 pickleball courts. This will facilitate the demand of this growing sport. Due to concerns from Heritage Colony owners, the Board is taking a second look at this plan and reviewing other locations for tennis courts to be installed.
BEAUTIFICATION

• 2025 Northeast section around Dulles and Lexington
• 2026 Northwest section north of 59 and around Hwy 6 and 59
• 2027 South section around Sweetwater and south of Hwy 6
The plan will address neighborhood entrances, esplanades and FCCSA entrances in those areas.
A large effort is being made by the association to step up the look and feel of the area. We are asking each owner to also raise the level of their property. For example, please make an effort to pick up the leaves around your property, especially the leaves in the street in front of your property. We don’ t want those going down the drain potentially clogging up our drainage system. Take a look at your landscaping. If it is tired and old looking, please consider refreshing the
