DAWID KOMODZINSKI OF INSSKI CONSTRUCTION
He also urges contractors to look at the bigger picture.“ Residential jobs may pay fast, but they’ re tied to the economy. Public works construction brings long-term stability and budget increases even during recessions. If you want to build a legacy- for your family and your community- start now. It will pay off.”
Fulfillment Beyond the Blueprint
For Dawid, the most rewarding part of running INSSKI Construction isn’ t just winning contracts or seeing finished projects— it’ s knowing that his work directly impacts thousands of people across Los Angeles.
“ In residential construction, you might serve one family. In public works, you serve entire communities,” he says.“ You can drive by months later and still see people benefiting from something you helped build. That’ s powerful.” But beyond the visible impact, it’ s the invisible transformation that has meant the most.
“ The greatest reward for me has been personal growth,” Dawid reflects.“ Public projects stretch you. They challenge your leadership, your mindset, your systems, your communication. And through that process, you grow— not just as a contractor, but as a person.” He emphasizes a truth many entrepreneurs discover late: happiness doesn’ t come from the outcome— it comes from who you become in the process.
“ Success is a moment. Growth is a journey,” Dawid says.“ Government contracting gives you that journey. It demands more from you— and in return, it makes you more.”
For contractors considering the leap into public work, he leaves them with this final encouragement:“ Grow your business, yes, but also grow yourself. That’ s where the real joy lives.”
Planting Seeds for the Future: The Youth Business Academy
In addition to building public infrastructure, Dawid Komodzinski and his wife, Marina Goncearenco, are equally committed to building human potential, starting early.
Together, they co-founded the Youth Business Academy( YBA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering free, real-world education to youth from low-income families, disadvantaged neighborhoods, and those at risk of being overlooked.
Born from Marina’ s experience as a naturally entrepreneurial child whose creativity wasn’ t always supported in traditional schools, and Dawid’ s deep respect for trade education, YBA was designed to nurture visionaries. The academy teaches business, communication, trades, and life skills that are often left out of standard curricula— such as how to grow food, manage money, build structures, and
