Rogers is a caring leader who likes to include everyone, but where did this compassion come from? Growing up as a child in Harvey, La, Tyler states that his interests were like that of a woman trying to find the perfect outfit for a date, constantly changing.
Tyler has written, directed, and edited a few projects that have been posted to the club’s YouTube channel, Selu Bea. Some of his works include writing, directing, and filming a skit called “Say you’re sorry” acting, and filming a skit called “The UnFunny Awakening” alongside cameraman, Taylor Larche. It is safe to assume that Rogers really knows his way around the camera.
Currently, Larche and Rogers are working together on a creative project that is due to be finished between late October or early November. Larche describes Rogers as having great leadership skills despite his calm and collected demeanor.
“I think he [Rogers] has great quiet leadership skills.
What I mean by that is, although he does not have to say much to be a great leader. I can just sense it in him, He is a quick thinker when it comes to camera placement and other useful camera knowledge. I think that is a crucial component when it comes to filming shoots. So, all in all, what I have observed from him, is that he is very good at what he does, he has even taught me a few new things.”
Upon Rogers’ graduation in Spring 2019, he describes some future plans such as getting his feet wet in more commercial production or advertising as he graduates, before driving straight into major film production.
Tyler hopes to one day be able to bring creativity and imagination to life in an “euphoric” way. He states, “I hope to give a feeling to others the way that very few activities give to me. What I mean by that, is that, I hope that when people see something I have worked on or produced I am able to arouse a feeling that speaks to the heart of those who see it. To me, being able to be that person who can bring everything together collectively and execute it in a way that it captivates its audience, is by far living the ultimate profession.”
