“ That was my first foray into brand experience and visitor attraction design ,” he says . “ And that ’ s probably why I find myself where I am now . Along the way , I ’ ve worked for a variety of leading companies , such as Event Communications , and other firms working in museum design , brand experience and experiential placemaking . That has become my passion .”
In addition , Pimentel has also worked in architect roles at companies like Arup and BDP where he gained experience working on big construction projects .
“ Pimentel & Partners has , essentially , come out of my passion for creating places and spaces that tell stories . I talk about passion and purpose ; for me , it ’ s all about the passion of the place , the people , and the stories , but also the problem solving and the challenge of making something that works well commercially .”

Pimentel & Partners says that it has been privileged to be invited to join a number of multi-disciplinary teams on a wide variety of tenders for museums , visitor attractions and Expo pavilions . Key to recent projects has been a collaboration with the highly experienced museum designer and master planner Phaedra Corrigan . Phaedra has recently completed leading prestigious projects such as the Burrell Collection renovation and the Hans Christian Andersen Museum of Fairytales in Odense . Like Paulo , Phaedra trained as an Architect at The Bartlett and brings a profound understanding of multi-layered storytelling and sensitivity to heritage sites to their work .
“ It ’ s been great to work with Phaedra and some of the most talented and trusted players in the business ,” says Paulo . “ The geographical spread of our projects also means that we will be aiming to open up new creative opportunities in Europe and the Middle East .”
