Recently , there has been a high demand for playgrounds that incorporate water – this trend has been seen throughout the world but particularly within the Middle East . There is something undeniably alluring about water . Children gravitate to it in natural settings such as rivers and beaches . Water is ideal for incorporating into schemes in hot climates as it offers a chance for children to cool down and remain active , particularly in the summer months . It also offers them chances to learn about how water flows and the forces that drive it downhill . It is particularly interesting to see families enjoy water play , parents and older siblings can be seen immersing themselves in waterplay with children – splashing and throwing water .
Timberplay has worked on several recent projects providing water play areas or incorporating elements of water play – from the sun in Abu Dhabi to the colder climates of London .
