Timberplay worked with the client to add an ultra-modern water playground to its dynamic landscape . The playground is designed to allow children to interact with water naturally , with various pieces of equipment that encourage play and learning . For instance , a manual water pump , the Mushroom Spring , allows children to use their force to release water . The pump is complemented with various interactive elements such as the Scooping Wheel , which lets children control the flow of water based on the speed they spin the wheel , the Rotating Conveyor which allows for children to spin the conveyor and scoop water to transport it into tipper trays .
The site ’ s thoughful landscaping complements the equipment perfectly , with Lock Gates and Water Switches that temporarily prevent the water from flowing down the concrete channel , enabling children to control the flow and direction of the water as they interact with it . National Museum of Qatar The National Museum in Doha , located on the East coast of Qatar , is not only home to historical and natural history exhibits , but also to a cutting-edge playground that contributes to Qatar ’ s sustainability efforts . The playground is entirely themed around sustainability and comprises fifteen unique pods that educate visitors on different aspects of sustainable living , such as renewable energy , recycling , and liquefaction . In addition , the playground features various water play elements , including a Crank Handle Pump located next to a Nautilus Snail that pumps and collects water . The Nautilus Snail can then be twisted to rotate the water to the centre of the structure . The playground also boasts an outdoor Mushroom Pump , two Lock Gates , and Water Switches that enable children to block and alter the path of water flow . Furthermore , the playground is equipped with four Conference speakers that promote social interaction while teaching children about sound and its different properties . Fireman ’ s poles also serve as exit points from some of the pods , testing children ’ s physical strength as they leave .
