Americas – Plant Based World Expo
( PWB ) returns for a fourth edition , 7-8 September , at the Javits Center , New York . The 100 % plant-based trade event for the food industry is set to feature some of the biggest names in plant-based food and an opening keynote with best-selling author and innovation consultant Matt Mueller .
Organisers say plant-based food and beverages have entered a new era of growth and innovation with low-carb , soy-free and other options contributing to a projection that the market will reach $ 77.8bn by 2025 .
Americas – The International
Association of Exhibitions and Events ® ( IAEE ) has announced that its current president and CEO , David DuBois , will leave his position earlier than planned , effective 1 October 2023 . Dubois had initially said he intended to retire from the role at the end of the year .
Now DuBois is leaving due to a new opportunity presented that he has accepted , the association chairperson of the Board , Dennis Smith , said . “ I could not be happier for David and his new role to be announced soon .”
Europe – International organiser RX has named Rachel Travers as its new president for the RX UK Hub business unit ( UK , Middle East , Turkey , South Africa and India ), effective 1 September 2023 . She will report to Hugh Jones , global CEO .
Jones said : “ Rachel is a highly motivated and experienced senior executive , used to managing operations in both domestic and international markets . In her three years at Law360 she delivered double digit growth with consistently high NPS and EOS scores .”
Europe – The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games organising committee has announced that UK-based Arena will be the events ’ official provider of temporary infrastructure .
Arena will provide design and installation services for temporary infrastructure ( overlay ) at 13 competition venues , including the Stade de France , Paris La Défense Arena , the Nautical Stadium of Vaires-sur-Marne , the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin en Yvelines and the Arena Paris Nord .
