Rebecca Davis - Maddox Events: Rebecca was an
Operations Executive at Maddox Events at the time
of being appointed sole ownership of executing our
largest event, Women of Silicon Roundabout (as well
as other events too!) without a Head of Operations to
guide her and with a new colleague to train up. She
not only successfully delivered the event from an
operational point of view, she trained her colleague,
she supported the wider team and all with a smile
on her face. There is a lot of pressure on a start-
up events company mainly due to lack of resource
and time but Rebecca handled this professionally
throughout the 3 months leading up to and including
the event on the day.
Judges Comments: Rebecca stepped up and took
on a huge amount of responsibility for the operational
success of the event, with no line manager whilst
also training up a new staff member. Someone that
all companies are searching for in their ranks.
