Rome
Rome is a delight in the winter months. Explore the monuments of the city from the ancient to the present day, visit any number of exhibitions and scour the Christmas markets. A highlight in the Chiostro del Bramante until 18 Jan is an exhibition of flower paintings, and the Palazzo Bonaparte exhibits the work of Alphons Mucha until 8 March. The Capitoline Museum offers free entrance to see the reconstruction of the statue of Constantine until 31 Dec. There is the Christmas market in the Piazza Navona and roast chestnuts by the Pantheon. Sample panettone artigianale and marvel at the lights in the Via Condotti. As part of your four-night break we include a private guide for a three-hour walking tour of either Classical Rome or Imperial Rome.
