To exercise in writing a description in their own language and in English as well. To learn about each other’s Christmas traditions. To learn carols and traditional Christmas Songs in English. To exchange Christmas wishes and small gifts so as to start developing friendly bonds. 3rd sub-stage with the title: School subjects or Let me teach you. The idea here was pupils from both schools to learn about the school subjects their partner have and to work on several school subjects by making their own video clips. Activities Pupils wrote scenarios for school subjects such as: advertisements and natural disasters, in Greek language, mixing colours and painting a rainbow in art, experiments in science. Pupils translated the above scenarios in English Pupils created storyboards for the above scenarios Pupils shot the above scenes Pupils worked on Movie Maker to edit the scenes (photos during the shots) Pupils converted their clips into 3D using a relative freeware program (stvmkre) or the one given by YouTube tool in the cyan/red form. Pupils watched a stop animation film to learn what moving pictures means. animation film e.g. equalities, fractions, decimals, ratios etc. 4th sub-stage with the title: City spots or Let’s go sightseeing. The idea here was to search and learn the local history so as to present some city spots to their partners. Activities Pupils searched the internet, files, took interviews. Pupils wrote scenarios made storyboards for the relative shots and edited those shoots with Movie Maker. Targets To learn the local history To exercise in writing, translating , and describing a site or landmark. Stage 3: Long Shot scenes This is the stage where students faced different angles of shots and moving bodies. Targets To learn about their partners’ school subjects To learn their own school subjects by making a film To exercise in both English and their own language with making scenarios To address maths exercises based on that stop 35
