Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2013 Newsletter
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------partner schools we entered immediately in tune, it
is important to find the right initial feeling. The
success of the projects amply repays the effort and
the work done: the book The Tales of Europe, The
Latin in Europe, and this newsletter are the result.
At the end of my school career I can say that
eTwinning has contributed (and I hope it will
continue to contribute) to open my horizon. It
opened roads that, at the beginning, I never
imagined could be opened. For this I feel I can
continue in different forms with partners who, at
this time, have become dear friends. An adventure
started as an amusement! You can’t forget your
first eTwinning, as you can’t forget your first love of
adolescence, because you live in it and it lives in
you.
Our Ambassadors’ Era
by Maria Georgiadou
I have been an eTwinner from its beginning and an
eTwinning ambassador, in Greece.
I would like to express some thoughts about
ambassadors’ role and their impact on eTwinning
evolution. Let’s see first the eTwinning organization
tree:
European Schoolnet - Central Support Service -
National Support Services - European/National
Ambassadors - eTwinners.
My intention is to focus on the last two parts trying
to realize the connection between European
Ambassadors and what it could contribute to.
Personally I think that European Ambassadors
should be continuously in contact with each other
and have their proper place to communicate with
one another, to exchange good practices, learn
from and with each other or simply discuss things.
This contact should be put in practice during
eTwinning workshops, by means of
videoconference. I had this experience last year, in
Rhodes, when two other eTwinning ambassadors,
Tatjana Gulic (Slovenia) and Eric Vayssié (France)
were connected to present their successful
programs. Another experience was in Kos Island,
where another eTwinning ambassador, Daniela
Bunea (Romania), came to present her favourite 5
web tools, the most used in her projects.
Virgilio Iandiorio is headmaster in Italian schools,
now in Liceo Classico Pietradefusi (Campania
region). He has been participating in eTwinning
from the beginning, and has made interesting
eTwinning projects with European schools. He will
finish his high school career next September.

Discussing with the participants after the end of the
presentation, they told me that they enjoyed that
very much, because they took part in a real
communication event, and I was really proud!
The only thing is that usually people do not ask
questions - I would like more interaction between
invited ambassadors and the workshop participants.
