Belvoir Hunt Branch Pony Club Area: 6 Belvoir Hunt is a large, friendly and busy branch: 200 members 3 - 25, 10 competitions and a programme of rallies from lead rein to 1.10m to help you learn and have fun. We have 4 Pony Camps at Buckminster Park and Arena UK , the highlight of every summer. Our area includes parts of South Notts, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, f rom Melton Mowbray and the Vale of Belvoir, with members around Grantham, Sleaford and out into the fens. We help you try dressage, SJ, Eventing, Tetrathlon and hunting with the famous Belvoir Hunt, gaining friends and skills for life. Burghley Branch The Burghley Branch of the Pony Club covers south Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Rutland borders. Our main base is in the wonderful parkland of Burghley House where, thanks to the Preservation Trust, we have access to small grass fields in which we hold many of our rallies and training sessions. On another area of the park we have a level 1,2 &3 cross country course that actually runs along side the big Burghley 3 Day Event course and the famous Leaf Pit. We also have a beginners course, at Pickworth, near Stamford, courtesy of the Gillman family. Our members train and compete in team dressage, show jumping, eventing, tetrathlon, mounted games and polo cross competitions. We also run a number of events in Burghley Park which are open to Pony Club members and non members. During the months of July and August we run our mini camp for younger members and residential camp for those 11 years and over. Events and training include Showjumping, Dressage, Cross Country, WHP, Tetrathlon, Triathlon, Mounted Games, Polo Crosse, Picnic and Musical rides. We have monthly working rallies for mounted tuition, and stable management training. There is a Summer Camp, a Mini Weekend for the under 10’s and lots of parties and fun... Heart of England Pony Club Pony Club Area : Area 7 Heart of England Pony Club was originally founded in the 1970’s, as the name suggests we are based in the heart of the country, Area 7. Our branch is one of the smallest of the traditional branches with our membership currently standing at 51, age ranging from 5 years to 23 years old. Heart of England boasts many successes in various team competitions, including Show Jumping, Eventing and the annual Musical Ride at the Pony Club Championships. We also recently hosted the Area Horse and Pony Care Competition which was a huge success. Pony Club is a superb way to learn important life skills as well as horse and pony care, management and riding. Lifelong friends are created at Pony Club! Our aim is to educate our members in the care/welfare and training of their horses, whilst having fun! We hold regular rallies at various venues in the area which are great places to learn, have fun and make friends. There is Pony Club Camp, fun days, social events along with training for Show Jumping, Dressage, Eventing and Mounted Games to name but a few. We have 41 members ranging from age 6-21. For more information : http://branches.pcuk.org/cadair/ Fylde & District Pony Club Branch Fylde & District Pony Club Branch was founded in 1957. We are a small friendly Branch with something to offer to all riders- our Members ages range from 6 to 22. We hold monthly rallies, mainly at Myerscough College, and mounted and un-mounted training sessions for all ages. Our annual Senior Camp is at Somerford Park in August, and our Members are looking forward to camping there and training at their world class facilities, especially over their cross country fences. Our Members participate and compete in a wide variety of disciplines, including mounted games, dressage, showjumping, eventing and tetrathlon/ triathlons. We also take part in the Pony Club annual quizzes and horse and pony care competitions. Our showjumping team are currently preparing for the Area competition hosted by Oxenholme branch. Our Branch hosts the popular Winter League Mounted Games, where our Senior team finished first overall in March. The team, comprising of Dulcie Barr, Victoria Bracken, Emily Tallentire & Grace Wallace also finished 3rd at the recent Area 4 Mounted Games qualifier, and are currently looking forward to competing at the Prince Philip Cup Zones in Warwickshire. In line with Pony Club tradition our Branch encourages older Members to train to be Instructors. Our Senior Members are a great help at training and rallies, encouraging and inspiring the younger riders. Associate Member Robyn Morris passed her UKCC Level 1 Coaching exam this Spring.
