Are you packed and ready for Pony Club Camp?
Maybe you are a regular at Pony Club Camp, this is your first time or you have never been and really want to experience it. The purpose of The Pony Club is to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding, to give instruction in riding and horsemanship and to educate Members to look after their animals. Membership of the Pony Club usually starts around the age
of six, but can be younger depending on the Branch or Centre, and can continue until the Member is up to 25 years of age. In that time, they will be involved in many activities that their Branch or Centre has to offer riding or taking part in a wide range of disciplines, taking Achievement badges, Efficiency Tests or getting onto a team at events such as The Pony Club Championships, Prince Philip Cup Mounted Games and Pony Racing to name a few.
Pony Club Camp is a fantastic opportunity for Members to get away and spend a week with their horses and ponies and friends, and in 2012 near 17,000 members attended a camp, either with their own ponies or at a Pony Club Centre. The weather cannot always be guaranteed, but the variety of activities that
are arranged up and down the country, keep everyone busy and active. Mini Members do not generally camp overnight, they are day participants but they get to watch and enjoy all the activities with the older members. Most Camps have rides twice a day; it will vary from flatwork

Now an active member of Area 5, Members can be seen out and about sporting the black and gold colours of the Branch. The general mood is positive and advancing but there is an emphasis on fun, sportsmanship and friendship. Members have access to rallies, clinics, competitions, badge evenings, fun days, Mini Camp and Summer Camp - there is something for everyone and everyone is welcome. aberconwyponyclub.co.uk All contact details are on the website - anyone considering joining are asked to telephone Sandie as it is possible to come along to an event to see the Branch before submitting a membership Form.
