Frozen Frogman 2017
by Lisa Maguire
The second annual Frozen Frogman event took place on January 29th , at HAC ’ s outdoor pool . It was a beautiful day and a successful event ! This year ’ s event featured three categories , a 1 mile swim , a 5k swim , and a BUD / S physical fitness test challenge . Thanks to over 100 participants , their fundraising efforts , and our sponsors , the event raised more than $ 36,000 for the Travis Manion Foundation .
The Travis Manion Foundation offers support to the families of our fallen heroes , as well as community outreach programs that build character of tomorrow ’ s leaders . The funds from this event will help the organization put on expeditions for survivors , which can be incredibly uplifting and cathartic for those family members . The next Frozen Frogman is scheduled for January 28 , 2018 . Save the date !
