T An intimate dialogue with Immediate Past Area Governor Priscillah Chinhengo hank you Madame Immediate Past Area A1 Governor for taking time from your busy schedule to agreeing to this interview. Many congratulations for successfully and exceptionally completing your term as Area A1 Governor. Please briefly tell us about your experiences as a toastmaster. My experience has been second to none. Initialy joined Toastmasters because I wanted to enhance my public speaking skills, which is what most people think Toastmasters is all about and limited to. I had noidea what was in store for me as an individual with a desire to grow. I have derived many a benefit and exposure and I’m still on my journey. What have been the major highlights during your term as Area Governor? Major highlights for me include the fact that I was probably the first woman to be given such an opportunity to serve Toastmasters Zimbabwe in a very long time. Secondly, it was during my tenure that clubs grew from 3 to 5 chartered clubs. I was instrumental in starting and chartering Diplomatic Corps, which is the first of the two clubs that were added to clubs in Zimbabwe culminating in us now having two areas A1 and A6 respectively. I am proud to say I played a part in this milestone. Finally, as if that is not enough, Lloyd Mugabe was crowned District Champion in May 2014 and went on to represent 3|The 9210 Times|2013
