EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHT
Museum of Fine Arts Boston presents“ Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor”
NOV. 2 – JAN. 19: The MFA houses the largest collection of watercolors by Winslow Homer in the world— luminous works that transport us to the rugged Maine coast, the Adirondack Mountains, seaside England, sun-drenched Caribbean waters and beyond. Fragile and sensitive to light, this group of nearly fifty watercolors has not been displayed together in almost half a century. This exhibition brings them out for the first time in a generation, offering a rare opportunity to see Homer’ s mastery of the medium and his innovative techniques up close.
