Celebrations of 17 th November and commemorating of the deceased President, Václav Havel at the National Theatre. The Velvet Revolution started with demonstrations 17 th November, 1989. It lead to a transition from communism to democracy. It is International Student’ s Day.
The National Theatre –
Bedřich Smetana ' s opera Libuše was given its world premiere opening the theatre in 1881. It helped to preserve the Czech language in the 19 th century and is a very important symbol and place of Czech culture.
