Vladislavský Sál- is a gothic hall inside the Prague Castle. This example of refined engineering has been used for large events of the Czech State. In the past there were banquets, receptions, coronations, but also markets. Now there is regularly a celebration of 28 th October, when the President awards important and meritorious Czechs.
The Crown of Saint Wenceslas- part of the
Bohemian Crown Jewels, and made in 1347. King of Bohemia and Holy RomanEmperor Charles IV, from the House of Luxembourg, had it made for his coronation. It is dedicated to the first patron saint of the country St. Wenceslas.
Dancing House / Fred and Ginger- was designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in cooperation with Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. It was completed In 1996. The very non-traditional design was controversial at the time because the house stands out among the Baroque, Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings for which Prague is famous. The style is called deconstructivist.
