As well as these big cities, Turkey has important landscapes. We chose the most attracting beauties of Turkey for you:
BODRUM: Bodrum is one of the most beautiful places in Turkey. It’ s famous for the sea and the culture. Bodrum was called Halicarnassus( Turkish: Halikarnas) in history. The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was built in here. Today it’ s possible to visit the ruins of the Tomb of Mausolus.
Another thing about the culture is the white houses of Bodrum and the Bodrum Castle. In Bodrum, you can’ t find houses coloured apart from white. With the beautiful Bougainvilleas it makes the view of Bodrum magnificent as you see at the photo. And the Bodrum Castle( Turkish: Bodrum Kalesi) is another landmark of Bodrum. Every summer there are lots of concerts in the Castle. The Castle also has an archaeology museum.
Bodrum also has lots of festivals. My favorite is Bodrum Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival. Since 2004, every summer lots of talented famous musicians came to Bodrum to join the festival and master classes from all over the world. For a young musician it’ s a unique opportunity.
RIVER DRAGON: River Dragon is in Anamur, which is a district in Mersin. The river has unique blue water and with the little boats. You can find a gorgeous landscape to take photos. And the most important thing about the river; no, there are no dragons in Anamur or river:) We have never been to Anamur so we don’ t exactly know why the people call it“ River Dragon”.
