KÖPRÜLÜ CANYON: Köprülü Canyon is in the Köprülü Canyon National Park in Antalya. There are two old bridges on the river. Small bridge was built by master. Other bridge has arches.
The National Park was built in 1973 to protect these old bridges.
In the river you can do rafting. Race starts from the small bridge and finishes in the arched bridge.
Except these, if you don’ t want to get wet you can take a little trip in the woods around the river. Or you can just watch the gorgeous view from the bridges.
TRAVERTINES OF PAMUKKALE: Travertines of Pamukkale are in Pamukkale, Denizli. There are 17 hot water areas. The water in Travertines is including calcium and hydrocarbon. The water coming from source is nearly 356 degree Celsius. When this water contact with air it creates white and solid floor. You can see the result of this reaction in the picture.
Travertines are very close to an ancient city called Hieropolis and a natural pool called Cleopatra Pool. For me it was very hard to walk all of Hieropolis when I was waiting to reach the pool and Travertines. The city is located in a really large area.
The Cleopatra Pool must be one of the most interesting pools around here. In the floor of the pool lots of ancient colums which are belong to Hieropolis. At the water of the pool is coming from Travertines.
BROOK AZMAK: Brook Azmak is located in Akyaka, a town located in our city, which is one of the 11 Cittaslow Towns in Turkey. Azmak has a unique biodiversity; in some places, the depth reaches 8 meters and plants can reach 3 meters. You can take a short boat tour to see the beautiful fish. Besides, Azmak is famous for the cute Otters. To save them, hunting is forbidden in the brook. In here, Akyaka, you can find beautiful white houses. In my opinion they are more beautiful than the ones in Bodrum. If you like canoe you can also find them here, but if you are not very good at this I don ' t recommend it because the stream is very strong in Azmak which may be dangerous.
