1st hour: Revision of the styles of painting
Introduction: The teacher presents pieces of art from the Renaissance to
the 20 th century
Steps

try to name the different characteristics of each style
put pins on a map according to the country of each painter
talk about painter’s era
Result: The students will be able to put a painting on a timeline
Tools: Pictures, PC, map, pins
Assess: The teacher presents pictures and ask the students (in pairs) to
put them in the right chronological order
2 nd hour: let’s talk about “dreams” in real life and in arts
Introduction: The teacher writes the word “DREAM” on the board
Development: with the brainstorming method, students think about the
subject and recall information (ex. personal experience, historical events,
Freud…)
Assess: The students write a text about dreams (as a homework)
