Guest Lecture on ABC on ABT – Know your Grid
A guest lecture by Sri Pucha Tejaswi, Assistant Executive Engineer, Electrical Operations & OS, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, was organised on 13th Sept. He enlightened the students about Availability Based Tariffs. In addition he gave some useful information on the grid failures and the mining processes at the Neyveli Lignite Corporation.
Know your Branch
The Know Your Branch event was organised by EEA on 09th Oct. This event was mainly for the first and second years, acquainting the students to the department history and curriculum. The senior most professor of the department, Prof M Sydulu, welcomed the students and gave them a brief history of the department and its importance.
Career Guidance – Industrial Trainings and Summer Internships
This event was conducted on 11th Oct for the second and third year students. A brief presentation was given to the students educating them about the opportunities available for them after their final year. The students were also educated about the various internships and industrial training options available which they have to utilise during their 4 years of study.
Visit to MPA Lab
EEA being a technical association helped the third years in understanding their one of their theory subjects, Micro Processors and Applications, by giving an opportunity to the students to practically work on Microprocessor kits, thus giving them a deep insight about the practical difficulties, while working on a microprocessor.
Alumni Speak-1
Mr J Sambasiva Rao, alumnus of our college (1979-83 batch), currently working in Singareni Colleries, interacted with the students. He inspired the students by sharing his success stories also spent a lot of time in clearing their doubts on the life ahead.
Preparatory Placement Activitiy (PPA)
