Eagles Baseball Off to a Fast Start

ENFIELD--The Enfield Eagles are off to a strong start in the 2023 baseball season . The Eagles are 6-2 through 8 games and sit at 7 th place in the double LL standings . The team is very young this year and have got great contributions fro everyone . They embrace the saying # webeforeme playing as a team and getting solid wins each week . Here is a recap of the first month of the season : Week 1
The Eagles started off the season opening up at home on April 5 th against the Berlin Redcoats . Berlin got out to an early 1-0 lead but the Eagles bounced back getting out to a 2-1 lead on a 2 RBI double by Senior Captain Braiden Alaimo .
Not looking back Enfield won the game 8-4 and was ready for their game on the 7 th at Suffield . The Eagles got out to an early 2-0 in the first inning , and went on to a 6-0 win , improving to 2-0 on the season . Sophomore Jake Lubanski threw a complete game shutout against Suffield giving up 3 hits and striking out 7 while walking one .
