Third Edition May 8 , 2023
The Eagles started off week two with a trip to Tolland . In a back and forth game the Eagles took the lead in the fourth inning on a Sophomore Jack Raymond home run . Tied into the final inning , the Eagles put up 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh to take an 8-5 lead . Sophomore Pitcher Ryan Senn came in and went 1,2,3 to get 3 outs and record the save as the Eagles moved to 3-0 .
On April 12 th the Eagles were back at home taking on Manchester . They lost the game 13-6 , a frustrating game with shaky defense .
The Eagles got right back on track the next game . Senior Pitcher / Outfielder Trent Barrows threw a complete game shutout as Enfield beat the Suffield Wildcats again , shutting them out with great defensive efforts . They won the game 2-0 with Senior Captain Canon Marshall driving in both runs . The Eagles finished the week at 4-1 .
Week 3
Week 3 had Enfield set to play Platt High School on Monday the 17 th . A close game throughout the Eagles found themselves trailing 5-3 in the 6 th inning . After a double and two walks the Eagless loaded up the bases and Jack Raymond tripled , clearing the bases . Now with the lead 8-5 Enfield came away with the W .
Now 6-1 traveling to Lewis Mills , the Eagles got off to slow start but down 4-1 in the 6 th inning Junior Outfielder Tyler Nickerson singled scoring two . Sophomore Catcher Jack Harmon followed it up and singled scoring two runs giving the Eagles the lead . They rallied and scored eight runs in the inning . Junior First Baseman Ryan Dennis had multiple hits in the 6 th inning and drove in one . Other RBIs in the rally came from Alaimo and Raymond .
