and even floor hockey . Currently Beneski doesn ’ t do any coaching like he would want to , but he explains as to why he can ’ t .
“ I am pursuing another master ’ s degree in mental health counseling , and that is keeping me from coaching , one of the great passions of my career in education ” said Beneski . “ Coaching presents a chance to learn and sweat at the same time ; sports teaches time management , teamwork , and the benefits of working toward a goal . I miss coaching , but I am glad that I had the chance to work with several of the talented coaches at EHS , including Mr . Gaucher , Mr . Wylie , and Ms . Joslin .”
Once he has completed his masters in mental health science , you can infer that he would gladly hop back onto the sideline .
Over Beneski ’ s 30 years of teaching , he has realized that he truly loves teaching . His favorite parts about teaching are his student interactions and helping students understand content and material . He is now trying to involve himself in more extracurricular activities , like Poetry in Enfield and other clubs . Beneski loves his job at Enfield High School .
“ Teaching in Enfield has been a great opportunity for me . It is by far the largest school I have ever worked in , but it still feels comfortable . The students have been great to me , and the faculty has welcomed me with open arms during my five years here . I am also very happy with the administration , which has allowed me many opportunities to develop as a teacher and as a person . I would love to stay at Enfield High for the rest of my career as a regular teacher ,” said Beneski ,
Beneski came into Enfield schools as a substitute teacher , got the chance to be a long term substitute teacher , and now would be glad to stay full time if he was given the opportunity .
