Recipient Life E lizabeth “Bitsy” Treinen is a Foundation Scholarship Recipient. She was recently reunited with her alma mater after receiving last fall’s mailing for the Annual Titan Fund Campaign. Bitsy said, “It was always my intention when I graduated to give back to help others attain their goals. This was a perfect opportunity.” Audrey and her Bitsy attended BCC (now EFSC) from Summer 2003 through son Fall 2006. She was in the full-time RN program and found it very hard to work full time, perform her best in the program Scholarships Awarded: and raise three small children. Her daughter- in-law, Audrey Swiatocha, attended EFSC as well. She graduated in 2016 with an A.S. in Chemical Technology. She succeeded with the help of Foundation Scholarships, including the Northrup Grumman Scholarship. She is now attending Embry Riddle University and recently attended the donor/scholarship recipient reception. $546,571 Bitsy gives to the Foundation on a recurring monthly basis. When asked if she had anything that she would like to share on a closing note, she simply shared that she had a wonderful experience during her time here at the College. Bitsy Treinen Annual Titan Scholarship Reception T Corvette Club adds to their scholarship fund and foundation donor relations coordinator, Tonya Cherry, receives the check. he Foundation hosted an event on February 23 to honor donors and scholarship recipients from the 2016-2017 academic year. The event was held at the Public Safety Institute on the Melbourne Campus. Students had the opportunity to meet their donors and thank them for their generosity. It was a rewarding evening for all involved.
