KING CENTER FULLY REOPENS
The King Center for the Performing Arts reopened for full capacity shows in July for the first time since the pandemic began in March 2020 .
• More than 28,000 patrons attended 40 shows .
• The Center received $ 3 million in federal grants to help offset losses caused when COVID forced the venue to shut down .
• Masks were strongly recommended for performances with strict cleaning and sanitation measures followed .
• The Broadway Series was launched in partnership with the American Theatre Guild featuring shows such as South Pacific and Rent .
• Crown Club renovations were completed in Spring with a grand opening held in November .
• Renovated bars and monitors offered updated menu items and streamlined purchasing for patrons .
• Replaced digital roadside marquee for higher resolution signage on Wickham Road , also added eight digital kiosk screens outside main entrance to promote upcoming events .
