economic growth in the Florida High Tech Corridor through
job pathways for students that are helping companies meet
a rising need for skilled employees. (Student Enrollment,
Diversity Initiatives, Financial Management, Community
Awareness) The College’s Emergency Management Plan worked
smoothly when Hurricane Dorian forced the closure
of EFSC and partial evacuation of Brevard County.
(Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Community
Awareness)

caution to allow students and employees time to prepare and
ensure their safety in advance of the then Category 5 storm.

damage on all four campuses shortly after the storm passed
and found no major problems.
• The following departments played a key role in executing the
plan and keeping everyone informed before, during and after
the storm:

and Financial Aid.
