Fall Term Records
Another increase in students taking online courses and
studying for their Bachelor Degrees continued to drive
strong enrollment for the Fall Term. (Student Enrollment,
Diversity Initiatives, Financial Management, Trustee
Relations, Community Awareness)
• Online enrollment accounted for 32 percent of all enrollment,
a record.
• 7,434 students were taking at least one course online, another
record.
• 268 courses were offered online, also a record.
• 1,873 students were enrolled in Bachelor Degree tracks, a 7.7
percent increase over Fall 2018.
• BAS in Organizational Management remained the most popular
followed by Computer Technology and Health Sciences.
• 2,639 students were studying for their Associate In Science
Degree, a 4.5 percent increase over Fall 2018.
• In all, 15,587 students were enrolled in the Fall Term.

Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate.
• T he College is also developing a Bachelor Degree in Science
Education with a focus on STEM disciplines that it is targeted
to launch in 2020.

Classroom Careers
The College started new education programs in conjunction
with Brevard Public Schools to address the high local
demand for teachers, especially in STEM fields, through
a newly formed Educator Preparation Institute. (Student
Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Community Awareness)
• The program is for people who hold a Bachelor’s Degree or
higher from a regionally accredited college or university in a
field other than teaching and who want to teach K-12.
• It also provides a degree that prepares graduates to work as
classroom teaching assistants.
• T he demand for classroom teachers in Brevard County is very
high, especially in the STEM fields of math and science.
• T he Institute provides a convenient way to gain the certification
needed to switch careers and make a difference as a teacher.
• T he new programs include field experience in Brevard Public
Schools classrooms.
