DR. JIM RICHEY, PRESIDENT | 2015 LEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS • More than 1,200 students graduated in Fall Commencement, including nearly 40 Bachelor Degree graduates as the four-year programs continue growing in importance in just their second year. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Public Awareness) • Grew EFSC Foundation Endowment to $21 million, the largest in the college’s history. (Financial Management, Student Enrollment, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Diversity Initiatives, Community Relations, Public Awareness) • Applied to participate in the Federal Communication Commission’s TV spectrum auction in 2016 that might result in selling WEFS-TV broadcast bandwidth, with potential money gained used to fund college operations. (Financial Management, Trustee Relations.) • Created software for Titan Scholarships to better evaluate scholarship applicants and make decisions on awarding funds through the EFSC Foundation. (Student Enrollment) January 2016 • Began Spring 2016 Term with approximately 14,500 students enrolled, including 1000 students in Bachelor Programs. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Public Awareness) • Launched new Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, bringing the total of Baccalaureate programs to 10 tracks with additional new tracks planned to start in Fall 2016. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Public Awareness) • Expanded the Military and Veterans Service Center on the Cocoa campus to provide more room for student-veterans and active-duty personnel, including rooms for one-on-one meetings with VA representatives.
