(Public Awareness) • Successfully held Open Houses on all four campus as part of upgraded student recruitment efforts with high schools to showcase new academic programs, buildings and collegiate experience. (Student Enrollment, Financial Management) September 2015 • Community College Week Magazine’s annual analysis of U.S. Department of Education data rates EFSC among the top colleges in the nation among 1,200 similarly-sized institutions. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Public Awareness) Rankings follow: • 26th nationally in awarding Associate Degrees in all disciplines • 12th nationally in awarding Associate Degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities • 28th nationally in awarding Associate Degrees in Science Technologies. • 97th nationally in awarding Associate Degrees in all disciples to African-American students • Received accreditation approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for a new Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Data Science. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Public Awareness) • Received $1.4 million, five-year federal grant for TRIO program to provide services to help increase the graduation rates for low-income, first-generation college students and those with disabilities. (Financial Management, Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Trustee Relations) • Completed Strategic Planning research surveys to gain information on how the college and its programs can be improved with responses from 700 faculty and staff, 600 graduates and 100 businesses. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee Relations, Trustee Relations, Financial Management, Community Relations) Strategic Planning survey result averages showed: • 70 percent said college was a “good value for the money” • 71 percent said college is “highly regarded in the community” • 81 percent said the college provides a “good or excellent education” • 84 percent said they would recommend the college to a “family member or friend” • Named to the Florida High-Tech Corridor Council that leads a group of 25 regional economic development agencies and 14 state colleges and universities to spur economic growth in an area stretching from the Space Coast to Orlando to Tampa. (Community Relations, Financial Management) • Began live WEFS-TV broadcasts and web streaming of 30 Titan sporting events this season in games seen throughout Brevard County and Central Florida, further advancing the college’s marketing and brand.
